Modern integration, versatile applications
The 5X 3D Print machine series represents a revolutionary approach, combining the functions of a 5-axis machining center with a large-format 3D printer. This hybrid machine allows for efficient 3D model printing followed by precise milling to achieve required tolerances and accuracy within a single CNC unit. With its tilting and rotating head operating on the A and C axes, the machine can quickly produce complex details, surpassing the performance of traditional 3- or 4-axis machining centers.
3D Printing Head
The printing head, driven by the CNC machine axes, allows for versatile use of the machine in 3-axis operations. Combining 3D printing with CNC milling significantly enhances production efficiency and reduces company costs. This solution enables comprehensive in-house component manufacturing, shortens order fulfillment times, and optimizes production costs.
Depending on the print size and head performance, available nozzles range from 4 to 25 mm in diameter. Our heads can work with materials such as PE, PP, ABS, PLA, PA, PC, PET, PPS, PEEK, and PEKK, as well as carbon and glass fibers. The materials used for printing are well-suited for mechanical processing and can be recycled, for example, through a regranulation line.
Construction
The construction is made from robust, ribbed, and welded steel components. High geometric accuracy is ensured through precise machining from a single setup on the previously stress-relieved structure. The machine can weigh up to 30 tons, while the use of composites in its moving elements guarantees high operational dynamics while maintaining excellent kinematic properties. Control
The technology used not only ensures high geometric accuracy through single-setup machining but also provides active control of the tool’s end point in 5 axes (RTCP) and the capability for simultaneous processing. The modern real-time control system, with dynamic trajectory analysis and Ethernet connectivity, allows for remote monitoring of machine parameters. Despite its advanced features, the control system remains intuitive and user-friendly. Learn more about the construction »
