FiberCut series of fiber lasers from Seron are technologically advanced machines, characterized by precision, speed and durability. FiberCut devices are used for fast cutting of elements made of stainless, constructional, galvanized and aluminum sheets with high accuracy, repeatability of high quality edges. Fiber optic laser bed is made of solid ribbed steel elements joined by welding, stress relieved with composite additives. An important advantage of Fiber laser cutters in relation to CO2 or YAG lasers is a significant simplification of the optics, the lack of mirrors transmitting the laser beam (transmitted inside the fiber to the laser head) results in less transmission losses. Another important advantage of the Fiber laser resonator is a much higher efficiency (up to 30%) in relation to CO2 laser sources (5%). The advantage is much faster machine work especially with thin sheets, as well as lower power consumption by about 70%. Fiber lasers have an extremely long life (up to 100,000 working hours), do not require maintenance and gas mixers. The Fiber resonator enables transmission of a laser beam to the head with virtually no loss, energy for high density on a very small diameter, thanks to which the cutting speed of particularly thin sheets is several times higher than with the CO2 laser. The Fiber resonator guarantees a stable cutting process without maintenance, replacement of operating elements, mirrors or accompanying elements like turbine pumps, it occupies much smaller surface. The short comparison shows many advantages, among others: higher efficiency and energy efficiency as well as economy of use.
